Jambo Bwana
It is now the day before the day and we couldn’t be more excited. I (Carsten) have for the last couple of days found myself suddenly bursting into song, repeating after the guide I meet at Kilimanjaro some years ago:
Jambo, Jambo Bwana, Habari gani, Mzuri sana… Hakuna Matata. Loosely translated it means something like: Hello, hello sir! How are you? Fine thanks! Foreigners you are welcome! No problem!
More than ever it feels like we are going on a vacation to relax and enjoy ourselves. Now when we have actually grown up and got a full-time job, we have learned to appreciate the ”time away from home” even more. To our boss’s at Danisco and NNIT: ”Don’t get us wrong when we say that it is going to be soooo good to get away.” We love our jobs, but getting away on a plane is what we live for. From the pristine beaches and colourful coral reefs at Zanzibar to the howling hyenas and hungry lions at Serengeti. Not to forget the face-to-face meeting with the giant cusins (Mountain Gorillas) in Rwanda’s Parc National des Volcanas. We hope that we will be able to find internet in order to update the site. If not, we see you all in 4 weeks… Hakuna Matata!
